Diamondback Tutle

Diamondback terrapins thrive in brackish water environments with proper filtration, heating, and UVB lighting. They require a minimum 75-gallon tank with water depth three times their shell length, plus a basking area. Maintain water above 70°F with daytime heat lights and nighttime ceramic emitters. Provide 12 hours of UVB light daily positioned one foot from the basking spot. Feed every other day with turtle pellets, seafood, dried snails, and shrimp—never chicken or beef. These social turtles live 25-40 years with excellent care and can reach 5.5-11 inches depending on sex.
