Pajama Cardinal

The Pajama Cardinal is a striking and beginner-friendly addition to any reef aquarium. Named for its distinctive green and white striped pattern, this peaceful fish thrives in established tanks of 20 gallons or larger. A carnivore by nature, it readily accepts high-quality frozen foods and small live prey. Pajama Cardinals are reef-safe and compatible with corals and invertebrates, making them ideal for mixed reef setups. They prefer stable water conditions with temperatures between 72–78°F, a pH of 8.1–8.4, and dKH levels of 8–12. Maintain specific gravity between 1.020–1.025 for optimal health. These nocturnal fish are naturally peaceful and do well in groups or pairs, though they may hide during the day. Provide plenty of rockwork and caves for shelter. With minimal care requirements and a maximum size of just 3.5 inches, the Pajama Cardinal is perfect for aquarists seeking a colorful, low-maintenance reef fish.
