Red Knobby Starfish

The Red Knobby Starfish features a gray body with bright red tubercles along its five arms, connected by red stripes. Found in Indian Ocean reefs and tidal pools, it needs a large aquarium with live rock. Juveniles eat algae, but adults prey on soft corals and invertebrates, making them unsuitable for reef tanks. Sensitive to copper and water changes, careful acclimation and stable water chemistry are essential. Avoid exposure to air during handling.
