White Glass Pigeon Discus are prized for their striking translucent white coloration and distinctive pigeon-like head markings. These peaceful cichlids thrive in warm, acidic water between 82–86°F with a pH of 5.0–6.5. Maintain excellent water quality through frequent partial water changes and robust filtration—discus are sensitive to ammonia and nitrite spikes. Feed high-quality pellets, frozen bloodworms, and live foods like brine shrimp daily in small portions. They prefer calm tank mates and benefit from tall plants and driftwood for security. Keep in groups of three or more to reduce stress. Avoid sudden temperature or pH fluctuations, as discus are prone to stress-related illness. With proper care, these stunning fish can live 8–10 years and reach 5–6 inches in diameter.
